SPONSORSHIP

We are grateful for the support of generous donors who help make this project possible.

All funds donated are used to support convenings across the country in partnership with social and criminal justice organizations. These convenings feature readings from Talvi's book, testimony by formerly incarcerated women and their families, and facilitated community conversation designed to build awareness and offer tools for action in the communities involved.

The project will also place a minimum of 300 copies of Women Behind Bars in prison libraries, youth detention centers, and and copies mailed directly to prisoners. Access to information about the wider context of female incarceration is essential for girls and women to understand the common thread inherent to their experience.

Donations are tax-deductible thanks to the project's sponsor, the Center for Social Justice.
